Dispatcher

UTS is currently hiring 2nd shift dispatchers for our main office in West Chester, OH.

 

JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates all relevant details of driving assignments to drivers to ensure proper execution.
  • Maintains radio contact with all drivers to relay relevant information regarding route changes, road conditions, or other pertinent info.
  • Utilizes UTS software and GPS technology to notify drivers of route changes and instructions in a timely manner.
  • Communicates wait times to the drivers for clients that are not available at the designated pick-up time.
  • Contacts clients to inform them that driver is waiting for pick-up.
  • Receives and reconciles logs, manifests, and daily trip inspections.
  • Dispatches “will call” services in an expedient and concise manner.
  • Assigns substitute drivers as needed to mitigate transportation delays.
  • Reroutes and reschedules any additional trips as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous dispatch experience is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to common inquiries or complaints from customers, co-workers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure.
  • Ability to work within the appropriate level of independence.
  • Ability to problem solve.

SALARY:

  • $13.00 / hour

Driver

 

JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME

UTS (Universal Transportation Systems) is looking for friendly professional drivers.  We service the tri-state region and surrounding counties, including Butler, Montgomery, Hamilton, Warren and Clermont. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Transports individuals or groups to desired locations safely and professionally in a timely manner.
  • Obtains all required signatures on the manifest, verifies identification, and obtains consent to release child for pick-up/drop-off from parent and/or guardian.
  • Stays in contact with the dispatchers and completes assigned tasks.
  • Plans work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation and/or operational goals.
  • Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, production, and work-related accidents.
  • Enforces and abides by safety rules and regulations.
  • Participates in the training process with the driver trainer.
  • Assists in keeping vehicles and equipment clean and fueled.
  • Completes daily vehicle inspections as required.
  • Utilizes tablets to stay informed of route schedules and changes.
  • Reads maps, and follows written and verbal geographic directions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Pass a background check – including FBI and BCI.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Pass a physical and drug and alcohol test.
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations.

SALARY:

  • $10.00 hourly
